Later a QR code in the app helps to establish the connection between the two devices for the transfer of files. But you need an internet connection for the first time while installing SHAREit on both devices which need file transferring among each other. SHAREit actually utilizes a wi-fi technology called SoftAP that helps to create a personal network, through inbuilt Wi-Fi radio in every mobile device, to which other devices can attach and send (or receive) files. This is where SHAREit app could be useful as you don't really need an internet connection to transfer files through this app. Suppose, you and your friend are on the way and you want to urgently transfer a file to your friend's phone, but suddenly you realize there is no mobile data (provided by your cell phone carrier) left to establish the internet connection in your phone. It also doesn't matter even if the two devices, requiring file transfer with each other, are of different brands. I mean to say, you can even transfer files between two phones with different operating systems in them, which was not possible earlier through any other such app. This makes it possible to transfer files between not only your PC to phone, but also PC to PC and phone to phone, and it doesn't matter whether your phone is iOS or android. Since SHAREit is also compatible with windows 7 and 8, it can also be used in your PCs which are using windows 7 or 8 as their operating systems. SHAREit is an application that can be installed and used in different devices which are using different operating systems like iOS, android and even Windows. But now it is possible to do that by the use of an app called SHAREit. In other words, if there is no internet connection in both the phone and the PC, than it will not be possible to transfer files between the two devices. But you need to be connected with internet in your phone as well as your PC (or laptop) in order to do that. For example, via Bluetooth wireless pairing it is quite easy to transfer files from your smart phone to your PC (or laptop) and vice versa. Though there are many ways to transfer files between two devices but an internet connection is required for most of them.
